Cree Speaking Practice with Bill “kisîtino” Cook

Come join Bill ‘kisîtino’ Cook for some Cree speaking practice. Bill is a fluent Cree speaker from wapâtikwaciwanohk Southend, Reindeer Lake Saskatchewan Canada, He is currently an Assistant Professor at Brandon University, the Indigenous Language Lead at Cowessess First Nation, SK, and a PhD student at the University of Hawaii at Hilo. One of Bill’s passions is to share the Cree language and help in Indigenous language and culture revitalization. These 45 minutes long weekly online Cree speaking practice sessions are meant for new and fluent Cree Speakers of all dialects. Some knowledge of the Cree language is expected. These are not classes, they are a place for you to come and practice speaking Cree with other Cree language learners, new speakers, fluent speakers, Cree language enthusiasts, and Cree language practitioners.
